    3 Credit Tips During COVID-19

COVID-19 has changed us in many ways, and one of them is our finances. During these uncertain times, it’s essential to monitor your finances, especially your credit. Here are three tips to help you stay on top of your credit.

    • Tip #1- Enroll in a free credit monitoring service.

It’s good to monitor your credit score. You will be alerted if there any changes that can hurt your credit. During these times, fraudulent activity has increased, and this is an excellent way to protect yourself.

    • Tip #2 – Keeping an eye out on your credit score and report regularly.

Any changes in your balance not due to you accessing your account could mean there has been fraudulent activity. The same goes for your credit. Look over your credit score to make sure all your information is correct and quickly report any errors before it hurts your score. Better to be proactive rather than reactive.

    • Tip #3 -Finding rates to get better savings.

Look out for rates that can help save you money, whether that’s your credit card or auto loan. Refinancing could reduce the interest you pay or lower your monthly payments. Take advantage while you can.

Being on top of your credit is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Your credit decisions will have an impact on your finances for years to come. Stay ahead and stay healthy.
