Good Friday with Hui Pua Lei
"...tying in the Hawaiian Traditions to our Lei Traditions."
Join us this Good Friday, April 18, for a special lei-making experience rooted in culture, connection, and community. This hands-on workshop will guide you through the art of lei-making while sharing the stories behind the flowers.
You’ll also learn about propagating native and lei plants, blending tradition with sustainability. Plus, enjoy a plant and lei sale with beautiful selections to take home and grow.
Whether you’re new to lei-making or continuing a beloved practice, we welcome you to gather, create, and celebrate with us.

- Lei-making workshop with Fashion Design and Merchandising Alumni Aunty Sylvia & Mike Kop from PuaCulture.
- Learn how to propagate lei plants with Tropical Plants and Soil Science M.S. Alumnus Dr. Alberto Ricordi.
- Plant and Lei sale from members of the Lei Poinaole Project Coalition.
Feel free to stop by whenever you get the chance! Sylvia, Mike, and the team will be around to talk story, answer questions, and share their deep knowledge and love for lei and native plants.
